On November 12, 2006 a white buffalo calf was born to a mother that had not been with another male. Another wonder besides that this calf was white and did not have a father was that his mother had just given birth to another calf 6 months earlier. The normal time for carrying a calf is 9 months. This is another point that makes this so amazing. Her new calf that was born only after six months was a fully developed male white calf that was given the name Kenahkihinen, meaning “Watch over us” in the Lenape language.
So why is this important besides the point of the miracle? The primary prophecies of the Lakota, Dakota, and Nakota [Sioux] Nations revolve around the appearance of a white buffalo calf and their traditional spiritual stories of a sacred white buffalo calf woman. She will come to bring unity and peace to Native people.
This is the story of what has been unfolding. In April of 2007, Oglala Lakota Spiritual Leader and Head Man, David Swallow, visited the zoo,
blessing the calf and grounds. Local Native groups and other Native American spiritual leaders have visited and conducted ceremony as well. These calves are not worshipped but rather viewed as sacred messengers and fulfillment of prophecy. In June of 2007, Lakota spiritual leaders endorsed
two people who live nearby to spiritually watch over the lives of the white buffalo calf: Hawk Michael Spisak, mixed blood Holikachuk and Shawnee, and his partner, Tamra Brennan, who is mixed blood Eastern Cherokee. They were sent to the Eastern Door, the Eastern part of the continent, with a ceremonial drum, a traditional staff, and a sacred c'anunpa (a sacred Lakota prayer pipe) to aid them in their commission. Both these people have been visiting the calf regularly to pray. With this endorsement comes the responsibility of hosting the many Indigenous spiritual leaders from around the world who are expected to visit, many of whom have already agreed to do so.
However, on July 28, 2007, yet another remarkable event occurred. In the same pen as the white calf and his mother, lives a second, separate female buffalo. The Herrings have documented proof through USDA records there was no male buffalo or bovine present. Yet on that date, she gave birth to a black with four white legs female calf. So what is the meaning of all that is happening?

"Greetings,
While in the desert these past days, I was informed of this powerful spiritual event and was told by Spirit that this information would be coming soon. These two buffalo [in Pennsylvania] are from Creator and they are virgin births. That this has happened on the East Coast is significant and the meaning will be revealed in time. These two sacred four-legged creatures were brought by Spirit for the benefit of all mankind. It is highly significant that one is black, one is white, that one is male, and one is female. This is the balance of all things. Neither is more than or less than. All are equal. Woman is not more than man and man is not more than woman. This is the message to all humanity to come again to a spiritual path. The spiritual DNA is in all of us and that needs to be re-awakened.
It is not for one Nation or one People or one place. This is for all mankind, worldwide. It is also time for the indigenous people to resume their birthright as caretakers of this earth. Because of this, the information needs to be released under the advice and counsel of many spiritual leaders of all mankind from around the world. These are virgin births to a recognized four-legged which are sacred and respected and known to many people. They have come so that we may understand, again, the responsibility given to each and every one of us to begin to live again in this good way.
The way of the First Nation People is being spread worldwide. Many
Prophets are not listened to in their own countries yet their message is accepted elsewhere. Now, the message of understanding is being passed to all Nations. This is a message of peace for all mankind; for the world. This is what I was told. Now, I have shared the message with you.
Hongyuo. It is good.

This is what I received from Eagle Heart about the White Buffalo:
"In the beginning there was Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery/Creator, and there was Tatanka, Buffalo. Wakan Tanka is the image of man. Tatanka is the image of the people. The Spirit, the great one, Tunkasila [Grandfather], has come into these two buffalo that have been born at the Woodland Zoo. This is Sacred Life. A new beginning and I am very happy about these things. These things are real. We, as individuals, must come to an understanding of what this means to us personally. We must, again, begin to understand Mitakuye Oyasin, [All My Relations]. We were created as humans to serve each other by helping the Creator. In helping the Creator, we serve the People. The People are the Tatanka, the Buffalo. The Tatanka, the Buffalo, are the People. The Lakota People were originally known as the Tatanka Oyate, The Buffalo People. These Tatanka are meant to right the wrongs of today’s society. When the Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe was brought and the Spirit that brought that sacred prayer Pipe left the People, she rolled four times and became the White Buffalo. This was a new beginning for the People. The births of these two buffalo are a new beginning. Every day is a new beginning, a chance to start again.
Many sacred things are happening across this country, especially on the East Coast. Many ceremonies need to be conducted Ceremonies of gratitude, Wopila (thank you) Ceremonies, and the Giveaway. As Wakan Tanka has given us these two buffalo, we must give. These sacrifices are good. Tunkasila will help us in that way. No other could have brought these two. This is unbelievable, therefore it must be from Tunkasila. So, it must be a miracle.
These Spirits are not from this world. They are like the Inyan Oyate, the Stone People, and of the Spirit World. They are of the Wakinyan Oyate, the Thunder People, who bring the lightning, the same lightning that strikes the people and turns them into Heyoka, Sacred Clowns. These two are the lightning. If you take away a man’s coffee, his caffeine, he gets angry. If you take away his alcohol, he gets angry. Man has learned to rely only on the things made by man. These things were not made by the Creator. It is time to again rely on the things given by the Creator. The animal nations get wiser, stronger as they grow older. Humans get weaker. What are we doing? Or what are we not doing? We, the indigenous people, never had trouble with other countries. We did not cross the ocean and conquer other indigenous people. We did not bring a new religion and way of life demanding all must follow that way. In 2007, there is much trouble. The government seems against the People.
There are many illnesses. The food is poison, as is the air, the water. Many are sick and dying. These two have come for this.
The White Buffalo Calf was gifted by Spirit for man to use for the People. It is time to pray with the Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe. It is time to unlock the White Buffalo Calf Pipe. The sacred prayer pipe, was gifted first to the Lakota People. Now, everyone uses it. There are many sacred items that were gifted to each Nation. Now, all those things are used by everyone. Now, we must be genuine when we pray with these things. We must be authentic. Spirituality is a ceremony in and of itself. This is not a religion, it is a way of life. We must be grateful for the truth, the truth of the Creator, not man’s truth. The sun never sleeps, as in the Sundance. So we must dance the Sundance. Make prayer ties. Use only pure cotton, all natural materials. Black, Red, Yellow, White. These are the colors of man. Blue, Green, these are the colors of Earth. Yet all are red inside, everyone, everything. We are all red inside. This never changes. Stay young in your heart. If we continue to live in this good way, this will be our living prayer. Tatanka is a living prayer. These two buffalo are a living prayer. That is all I know. We must look at ourselves. Do not be sad when someone dies. They have returned to the Creator and this is a good thing.
All around this country Native American people are taking notice. This is a recent message from the Hopi Elders.
"You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour, now you must go back and tell the people that this is the Hour. And there are things to be considered... Where are you living? What are you doing? What are your relationships? Are you in right relation? Where is your water? Know your garden. It is time to speak your Truth. Create your community. Be good to each other, and do not look outside yourself for the leader. Then he clasped his hands together, smiled, and said, "This could be a good time! There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly. Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water. And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate. At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally. Least of all, ourselves. For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt. The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves! Banish the word struggle from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration. We are the ones we've been waiting for.

Many will read this and say it is just another one of those Indian stories. Our ministry looks at these things and how they align with the scriptures. Even the people of Israel did not really believe what the prophets told, never heeding the warnings. Many people are limited in a different way of the meaning of things. Were the Hurricanes really a warning for God? Is the draught in the Southeast a warning for Christians to humble themselves? What is the true meaning of these two Buffalo calves? As I prayed God gave me this meaning. As we see there were two, one male and one female. The male was first, just as Jesus was. He came to bring peace, love and salvation. He gave his life for this. His life was for told by prophets. His life was white and pure. He preformed miracles and was a miracle himself. After Him will come another and imposter. Where Jesus was real, the next will be counterfeit, his heart will be black but he will walk as if he is white. The second calf was black except for his white feet. Both were born with out a father. The scriptures say that he will come and no one will know from where. This has been told but know one listens. Corn planter was given a word from God for his people not to listen to the white people that they will lead them away from Him. So they did not listen to the truth that was being told, the truth of the scriptures that lined up even with their stories that had been told through the ages. But they did listen to the lies told to they when the land was being taken away. Many Native American prophecies have been told about the coming time. God is saying come back to Me, here I am, but is anyone really looking. So many desire the traditions instead of why they were traditions, the true meaning of those traditions lost so long ago. Those ceremonies that honor God the Creator, the giver of breathe.
It is true; time is close to walk in the new world. After seven years of tribulation the people will walk through to this new world of God’s love. After that for 1,000 years God will pour out His love until he releases the deceiver once again. The people will have forgotten and will again turn from God to be confused. The deceiver will run again for a short time until God brings down the great hunting party to destroy the deceiver. Once and for all, as Jesus said on the cross it is finished, it will be finished. The question is have you been deceived or are you roaming with the white buffalo? Are you grazing in his green pastures?
The scriptures say that we must believe in Him. This is a matter of the heart and not what we do. This is the story of the White Buffalo.
